Performance

Player Development Pathway (PDP) trials will take place on:
  • U15 – Sunday 21st June 2026
  • U13 Preliminary Trials – Sunday 28th June 2026

The trial fee is £15. (No refunds will be given)
You will be given a 2 hour window to attend so you must keep 9.00am to 4.30pm free.

Do not trial for the experience. You must be nominated by your Club Coach and random checks will be made to confirm coach nomination

NOTE: The county reserves the right to close applications early if they are oversubscribed and the application link will automatically close, if capacity is exceeded. Unfortunately, if you have missed the opportunity to register, we will not be able to respond to any emails regarding this.

Harlington Sports Centre, Pinkwell Lane, Hayes UB3 1PB (entrance via Dudley Place)

Applications
Application via online submission and payment for screening must be received no later than:

Eligible athletes must be moving into the following school years in September of the current year.
  • U15 PDP: School Year 9 or 10
  • U13 PDP: School Year 7 or 8
Athletes should trial for the PDP in the county:
  • where they live, or
  • where they go to school.
Athletes may choose another County PDP, but they should avoid excessive travel.

The commitment for U15s is a maximum of 30 sessions x 2 hours and for U13s a maximum of 15 sessions x 2 hours, from October to April. Do not trial if you are unable to commit. Costs will be no more than, U15s £310; U13s £155. Those who are on universal credit and/or require financial assistance should approach their school or club in the first instance. The county may be able to provide assistance with fees.

PDP sessions will ideally take place in North and West Middlesex on Mondays and Thursdays.

U13 Final Trials (Selected athletes by invitation only) - Sunday 13th September 2026
An additional trial fee of £15 is payable.
Any non selected athlete applications will be rejected and no refunds will be made

Induction Day
The athletes selected into PDPs should keep Sunday 4th October 2026 free for an Induction Day.

Performance Pathway 
The current England Netball pathway has age groupings of U15 and U13 academies delivered by County Netball Associations.  Eligible athletes must be in the following School Years in September of the current year.
  • U15 Academy:  School Year 9 or 10   
  • U13 Academy: School Year 7 or 8 

The Performance Pathway structure is as follows:
  • Roses Podium: England senior squad
  • Roses Futures (U21s): Best U21 athletes 
  • Roses National Academy: Best U17 and U19 athletes – centralised training and competition.
  • U19s: Vitality Netball SuperLeague training and competition. Some athletes may also be part of the Roses National Academy.
  • U17s: National Performance League training and competition.  Some athletes may also be part of the Roses National Academy.
  • U15 Academy: Second step on the Performance Pathway. Delivery by County Netball Associations 
  • U13 Academy: First step on the Performance Pathway. Delivery by County Netball Associations

London & South East Regional Festival 2026

The Regional Festival took place on Sunday 26th April at Shirley High School, Croydon, for the second year running. 

Middlesex U15s and U13s took on Essex Met, Kent and Surrey PDP squads, in a showcase for the talented athletes in the London & South East Region. 

Middlesex U15s earned a creditable second place with their depleted squad.  The U13s also came second with an impressive team performance.
