Umpiring Fitness Testing |
Middlesex County, with the support of our netball clubs, organise central venue fitness testing sessions for our umpires each season. All umpires for the County league and the North London netball league must submit a bleep test to the County Officiating Lead prior to officiating to be compliant with each league's rules.
Membership (previously known as affiliation) to England Netball must also be in place and active before an umpire can officiate a match. Checks will be undertaken by the County League and NLNL umpiring co-ordinators. Penalty points will be deducted if umpires are not compliant with the rules of the respective leagues. The responsibility lies with the clubs to ensure that any umpires they use are both current, paid up England Netball members and suitably fitness tested as per the above guidelines - always ‘check before you book!’ County League requires fitness submissions twice per season in September and January. North London Netball league do not currently require a second fitness submission - only a September submission.
